Robin CowherdRobin L. Cowherd, BA, MPA, CT - Director

Lead a five-member staff in the development and delivery of a comprehensive program of bereavement support for the families of deceased organ and tissue donors.  I began work at LifeNet in September of 1998 and started Donor Family Services in response to some families’ request to have more ongoing support.  

Master of Public Administration, certified in Thanatology (death, dying and bereavement) by ADEC and through the Center for Loss and Life Transition, Fort Collins, CO.

Tina PierceChristina (Tina) L. Pierce, MSW, LCSW - Donor Family Advocate

I began employment with LifeNet Health on January 7, 2007.

Bachelors of Social Work from Christopher Newport University 1995; Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University 1996; obtained License of Clinical Social Work from State of Virginia 2009.

Tommy Willcockson

Tommy Willcockson, MDiv - Donor Family Advocate

Began with LifeNet Health just over 5 years ago, as a Family Support Coordinator. Team leader for about 3 years. Came to Donor Family Services September 2009.

BA from University of Arkansas, Little Rock; MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.  

“My previous work as a Family Support Coordinator with LifeNet Health and an emergency room chaplain was a great experience. However, when the immediate crisis is over, the family is gone.  Now I appreciate the opportunity to get to know and work with donor families over longer periods of time.”

Michael Reilly, MA - Donor Family Advocate

Began with LifeNet Health Donor Family Services part-time June, 2006; full-time in December, 2007. 

One and a half years in a Catholic seminary. BA in Sociology from Old Dominion University 1968. Masters in Thanatology (the science of dying, death and bereavement) from Hood College 2007.
